Made-to-measure services

Spaces. Surfaces. Details.

From an architectural element to a surface you touch every day, we shape each service around the dimensions, material and purpose of the specific project.

Working together

With care, from the first sketch to the final detail.

Understand the idea

We begin with the space, its purpose and what matters to you. Drawings, sketches and dimensions give the idea a clear framework.

Choose the material

We consider the texture of the actual slab, its tone and possible finishes. Stone and details are chosen for your project.

Craft with care

Precise cutting, careful finishing and coordinated installation. We review the final details together, aiming for a result that exceeds expectations.

Good to know

What information helps with a technical discussion?

Send a drawing or dimensions, photographs of the space, the intended use and, if you have one, a preferred material or reference. This allows us to discuss format, edges, openings and finish.

Can you work from an architect’s drawing?

Yes. A drawing is a good basis for checking dimensions, material and visible details. Where needed, we clarify together the parts that affect fabrication and installation.

Can every piece be made in every stone?

Not necessarily. The choice depends on the material type, its format, finish, intended use and project conditions. Suitability and availability are checked for the individual enquiry.

Façades, walls and floors

Stone façades, wall cladding and floors establish the rhythm of a space, from a broad composition to the junction at an opening or edge. Each surface calls for consideration of element format, laying direction, material tone, finish and its relationship to adjacent surfaces and architecture. For exterior areas, the discussion should include the substrate, falls, drainage and weather exposure; for interiors, scale and daily use. Stone selection, availability and joint details are considered against the drawing, dimensions and conditions of the individual enquiry.

Staircases

Stone staircases require a clear relationship between proportion, movement and material. Consideration includes tread width and depth, riser height, landing rhythm, edges and the transitions to floor, wall or landscape. For exterior stairs, it is useful to address falls, water, conditions of use and safety considerations early; an interior staircase often begins with continuity across adjacent surfaces. Material, finish and format are assessed against dimensions, drawings and availability for the particular scope. The stone remains a strong element, while its scale should belong naturally to the space.

Window surrounds and sills

Window surrounds and sills are a precise line between opening, wall and light. Their scale shapes shadow, the emphasis of a façade and the sense of depth; indoors, it also guides the window’s relationship with the surrounding surface. The discussion defines opening dimensions, projection, falls, edges, visible joints and finish. For exterior elements, the path of water and contact with adjoining layers merit particular attention. Material and available format are reviewed against drawings and the conditions of the specific enquiry, so the detail remains composed and consistent with the whole.

Pool coping

Pool coping connects water, the surrounding surface and the wider outdoor setting. Its profile influences the clarity of the line, the feel underfoot and the transition to paving. Before a material is selected, it is useful to consider pool geometry, element format, radii, coping width, joints, falls and the path of water. The surface finish is considered in relation to appearance, maintenance and intended use, together with the safety of movement in wet areas. Material, edge profile and availability are coordinated with dimensions and the technical conditions of the particular scope.

Worktops and islands

Worktops and islands call for a calm relationship between material, proportion and daily use. The discussion can cover length, depth, the visual edge thickness, joint positions, cut-outs, wall junctions and the relationship to adjacent surfaces. When selecting stone, it is important to consider the appearance of the surface, available slab format, intended use and maintenance. With larger elements, room scale and the composition’s divisions often define the character of the whole. Each proposal is reviewed against dimensions, drawings and availability of the selected material.

Basins and sinks

Stone basins and sinks place a functional vessel within a legible material whole. The form may be restrained or expressive, yet dimensions, position, use and the relationship to the surrounding surface remain the starting point. Important discussion points include outer and inner edges, depth, drainage, openings, visible joints and the meeting of the element with a wall or counter. Stone selection and surface finish are considered alongside maintenance, available format and the technical conditions of the individual scope. The result is guided by purpose, not decoration alone.

Fireplace portals

A fireplace portal gives the hearth an architectural frame, whether it is conceived as a quiet plane or a more articulated volume. Stone is considered in relation to the room’s proportions, sightlines, neighbouring materials and visible transitions. Before details are defined, cladding dimensions, edges, joints, openings and finish need to align with the design and with the technical and safety requirements of the intended heating system. Material suitability, format and availability are reviewed for the specific enquiry. A convincing whole comes from clear dimensions, rather than superfluous ornament.

Memorials

A memorial carries a lasting personal message, so form, inscription and relationship to the setting are considered calmly and with respect. The conversation may cover scale, proportion, stone type, finish, lettering, ornament and other details that a family finds meaningful. When making a selection, available material format, cemetery requirements and the technical conditions of placement should be checked. The aim is a clear, dignified expression without unnecessary complexity. Final details are aligned with the individual request and the relevant rules of the location.
